From 2015 to 2017, Peter consulted to Orygen – the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health – and helped set up a small team that grew annual fundraising income from $360,000 per annum to over $3 million annually, in just two and-a-half years.

Orygen’s outstanding Fundraising Director, Dan Kneipp, was charged with the task of raising $8 million for a new building at Orygen. There were significant challenges to overcome. The fundraising program was tiny ($360,000 a year). Dan was the only fundraiser at the time. The organisation had never run a capital campaign or major gifts program before, and there was no developed culture of philanthropy.
